Seen on the runway and made for wearing! As fall is approaching, it is time to put away our summer sandals and gear up for fall! Learn more about the top shoe trends this fall.
Your closet has adapted from your typical blazers and heels to sweatpants and house slippers if you are like everyone else. But with the possibility of leaving our homes for the first time in a year, you have the opportunity to dress up again.
Thankfully, the most famous fall 2021 shoe trends are similar to what we have been lounging around our house in. Fashion trends are no longer impractical but instead have become more sensible and pragmatic.
The Statement Boot
New York Fashion Week’s designers showed us an actual shoe, mostly a statement boot with a small heel. Gabriela Hearst demonstrated how modesty is the ultimate statement of elegance. Her pieces were similar to riding-style boots paired with lacy but minimalist outerwear and dresses.
Punky Oxfords & Loafers
Designers pulled out exciting twists on the oxford staple. A Nod to ‘80s British counterculture, the heavy-soled lace-up punky oxfords are making a comeback for this upcoming fall. The runway showed platform-height soles, traditional black, or even a pop of color to wear with autumnal neutral tones.
The 90s-inspired pointed stiletto pumps are making a comeback this season. The power pump is a mixture of metallic and colorful toe caps and a touch of added bling. As seen at YSL, the shoe comes with a hint of embellishment for the most significant impact.
This season metallics will be your favorite footwear, whether it’s a pair of disco heels or knee-high boots. The metallic style was a prominent trend during the fashion shows, as seen at Balmain, Stella McCartney, and many more.
If embellishments and metallics are a little too far out of your comfort zone, do not worry. This upcoming season will be all about that extra height. Find yourself a pair of platform boots or sandals in either neutral tones or with a hint of metallic.
Knee High Boots
Knee-high boots were all the rave last year, and thankfully they are back again! This fall and winter, purchase yourself a pair in classic black and brown. And if you want to be extra sleek and on-trend, find yourself a couple of equestrian country-style knee-high boots.
Let’s be honest here… We all are still glued to our slippers for staying in our homes for so long. Thankfully, house shoes will be trending this year. Embracing comfort with fur-trimmed boots or comfy slides at home will not be a fashion embarrassment but rather the opposite. Embrace the cozy feeling and become a style icon!
